Job summary

University of the Incarnate Word’s Rosenberg School of Optometry invites part-time adjunct faculty candidates for clinical and/or didactic instruction. The position may oversee residents, interns, and students in the clinical network and may include classroom or laboratory teaching.

Qualified applicants will hold a Doctor of Optometry degree with Texas licensure (or eligible). Teaching responsibilities include course outlines, lectures, assessments, and collaboration with faculty to meet

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited school.
• Current Texas optometry license or eligibility.
• Residency training and teaching experience preferred.
• Willingness to teach clinical and didactic sessions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical interns and residents in vision exams and patient care.
• Prepare course outlines and deliver lectures in optometry theory and clinical examination.
• Prepare assessments and ensure curriculum outcomes meet accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with faculty and maintain professional conduct and record-keeping.
