Pearle Vision in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, is seeking an experienced optometrist for part-time engagement (1–2 days/week) to join a compassionate healthcare team. The OD will diagnose and treat eye conditions, fit contacts and glasses, and provide care for patients of all ages, with emphasis on pediatric and senior eye health.

Ideal candidates hold an OD degree, MN licensure, and demonstrate strong medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and coding proficiency.

Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure to practice optometry in MN.
• Significant experience in pediatric and senior eye care.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
• Proficiency in medical coding and healthcare systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye exams and vision tests to diagnose and treat conditions.
• Prescribe and fit contact lenses and glasses; recommend lenses.
• Provide pediatric eye care and manage pediatric conditions.
• Offer senior eye care tailored to older adults.
• Collaborate with other medical professionals for coordinated care.
• Stay current with optometry advances and medical coding practices.
• Maintain accurate patient records and medical history.
• Educate patients on eye care and health practices.
• Utilize systems to manage data, appointments, billing, and insurance.
