A part-time opportunity is available for an Associate Optometrist at Perspective Optometry, located in La Quinta, California.

About Perspective Optometry

Established in 2018, Perspective Optometry provides optometric services to families and residents in the Greater Palm Springs area of all ages, insurances, visual and medical diagnoses. The practice specializes in myopia management, keratoconus contact lens fittings (including scleral lenses), and vision therapy services. Perspective Optometry takes a patient-centered approach and uses the latest technology to diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases. The practice uses automated optical equipment and equipment such as Zeiss Humphrey Visual Field, Topcon Autorefractors, and Topcon Optical Coherence Tomography Maestro. The team aims to provide an exceptional patient experience through a family-friendly eyewear gallery and personalized support from Opticians who ensure proper fit and comfort.

About The Associate Optometrist Position

Perspective Optometry is looking for a well-rounded Associate Optometrist who has excellent patient communication skills and an analytical approach to clinical care. Responsibilities include conducting routine eye examinations, refractions, ocular testing, and performing limited medical eye care within the full scope of licensure. Daily patient load is approximately 12 to 16 patients. The Associate Optometrist will also provide recommendations and refer patients to outside ophthalmology specialists when needed. This position is initially part-time (16 to 25 hours per week, two Saturdays per month) with potential to transition to full-time. A candidate with Spanish-speaking abilities, additional specialties, or an interest in the practice’s focus areas will complement Perspective Optometry.
