Job summary

VSP Vision’s Eagle Vision Eye Care in the Sacramento area seeks a part-time Optometrist to deliver comprehensive eye care in a modern, cloud-based environment. You will educate patients on ocular health and vision solutions, and collaborate with a skilled staff to ensure top-quality service.

The role emphasizes patient care, advanced diagnostics, and a flexible schedule that may include select Saturdays. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D., licensure including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate.
• 1–3 years of clinical practice with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates encouraged to apply.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties.
• For remote/hybrid roles, must demonstrate a high level of engagement in virtual environments, including camera presence during meetings.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages and visual and medical conditions.
• Educate patients about ocular health and vision solutions and recommend products.
• Work in a modern, cloud-based practice with advanced diagnostic technology and support staff.
• Manage a typical day with extensive patient interaction and documentation.
