Job summary

VSP Vision is seeking a full-time floating Optometrist to provide full-scope eye care across multiple Sacramento-area practices, including Sacramento Optometric Group, Midtown Optometric Group, and more.

The role involves performing comprehensive exams, managing ocular conditions, and using advanced diagnostic tools, with a Monday–Friday, 8-hour schedule and 16–18 patient visits per day. New grads welcome with competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• OD license and TPA certification required.
• 1-3 years clinical practice or new graduates welcome.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Business aptitude and patient service focus.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope optometrist care across multiple Sacramento-area locations.
• Perform comprehensive eye exams and manage ocular conditions.
• Use digital retinal imaging and advanced diagnostic tools.
• Collaborate with care team to deliver seamless patient experience.
• Schedule is Monday–Friday, eight hours per day, seeing 16-18 patients.
