Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an optometrist to conduct comprehensive eye exams and support practice growth by building patient relationships and educating patients on eyecare. The role involves vision testing, diagnosing refractive errors and ocular conditions, and prescribing eyewear, contact lenses, and medications.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Optometry from a credentialed institution.
• Must have passed all optometric state boards.

Responsibilities

• Establish long-term patient relationships through proper patient care and education.
• Perform verbal interview with patient to determine health, ocular history, and reasons for visit.
• Instruct and advise patients on options for remediation of ametropias and ocular disease, and coordinate with staff as needed.
• Promote eye health through patient counseling and education on lens coatings and designs.
• Perform vision tests, analyze results, diagnose sight problems, and recommend prescriptions for eyewear or medications.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care for eye procedures and coordinate referrals as appropriate.
