Job summary

Prospect Health is seeking a qualified Optometrist for a part-time role in the Chester area. The position offers 24 hours per week with flexible rota and strong opportunities for professional development and benefits.

You will deliver high-quality eye examinations, support the wider optical team, and contribute to new patient services while maintaining clinical and operational standards. Comprehensive CPD is funded and supported.

Qualifications

• Full GOC registration required.
• NHS performer registration with relevant area team or health board.
• MECs or WECs accreditation, or willingness to achieve within 12 months - fully funded and supported.
• Commitment to maintaining statutory CPD requirements.

Responsibilities

• Providing comprehensive eye examinations and excellent patient care.
• Screening and monitoring patients.
• Supporting the delivery of extended eye care services.
• Maintaining high clinical and operational standards.
• Coaching and supporting the wider optical team.
• Contributing to development of new and enhanced patient services.
• Working closely with the Optical Manager and wider department team.
