Job Description

Eyes On J Optometry is excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated part-time Associate Optometrist with excellent diagnostic skills and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. The practice also values a healthy work-life balance and strives to create a supportive work environment for all team members. Whether you are a new graduate or an experienced professional seeking a fresh start, you'll get on-the-job training and education to help you succeed and help deliver a fantastic patient experience to valued clients.

Why join us?
At Eyes On J Optometry, the practice is dedicated to providing its doctors with the support they need to offer the best possible care to patients. You'll be empowered to focus solely on patient care without worrying about the complexities of practice management — enabling you to broaden your horizons and explore various ocular specialties, including specialty contacts, ocular disease therapies, pediatric therapy, and vision therapy. Located in Sacramento's vibrant downtown, the boutique family-practice setting is easily accessible to most neighborhoods, medical offices, hospitals, the State Capitol, cafes, restaurants, and much more.

What you'll do:
Enjoy the flexibility of working part-time, Wednesday through Friday each week! We can also help you find another office to work at on the other two days of the week to have full-time hours if wanted! As a member of the team, you'll care for a diverse patient base and perform comprehensive routine vision and ocular examinations to determine appropriate corrections and prescribe lenses and vision-enhancing solutions. Working alongside an incredible support team, including optometric technicians, opticians, receptionists, and management staff, you'll collaborate closely to provide top-quality care to an average of 20 patients daily. With access to advanced technology from industry-leading vendors such as Topcon, Zeiss, Optovue, and Optos — you can't go wrong at Eyes On J Optometry!

Who we're seeking:
As a passionate Associate Optometrist with excellent clinical skills, you have a love for optometry and a knack for extending your passion to patients. Your efforts will directly impact business growth and support the goal of reducing wait times for appointment bookings — currently, bookings are a few months out. The position rewards you for hard work and dedication with generous holidays and paid time off — you'll never worry about on-call, late evenings, or weekends. And if you're the right Associate Optometrist, a lucrative practice partnership opportunity may be available.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Optometry license in the state of California
  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) Degree
  • New graduates welcome to apply
