Laredo Technical Services, Inc. is seeking an Optometrist to provide on-site services at FCI Seagoville, Seagoville, TX. The role is part-time and requires an Optometry degree, Texas license, and ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities include conducting eye exams, refractions, and tonometry, documenting findings, and coordinating referrals while adhering to federal Bureau of Prisons policies. No medication prescription for inmates.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited university with a degree in Optometry.
• Must be eligible for Texas license and board certification.
• Ability to pass required law enforcement background check.

Responsabilités

• Provide routine refractions, eye examinations, and tonometry.
• Document examinations and prescribe/adjust eyewear as needed.
• Refer pathologies to the Clinical Director; no medication prescription for inmates.
• Respond to eye emergencies, coordinate with institution staff as required.
• Provide patient education and follow health service directives.
