Job summary

Spectrum Eye Physicians is seeking a part-time Optometrist to join our Bay Area multispecialty practice, with strong corneal disease and specialty contact lens experience. This role blends comprehensive medical optometry with growth of our specialty lens services in a collaborative MD/OD setting.

The position is approximately 3 days per week with rotating Saturdays, based in San Jose and Cupertino, California.

Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited institution.
• Active California optometry license or eligibility for licensure.
• Residency training in cornea/contact lenses, ocular disease, or related specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Routine vision and comprehensive medical eye examinations.
• Diabetic eye examinations.
• Cataract evaluations and co-management.
• Diagnosis and management of ocular disease.
• Corneal, anterior segment, dry eye, and ocular surface disease.
• Specialty contact lens fitting, including scleral and RGP lenses.
• Management of irregular corneas and medically necessary contact lenses.
• Diagnostic testing and interpretation.
• Collaborative patient care with Spectrum's ophthalmologists.
