Job summary

Spectrum Eye Physicians in California seeks a part-time Optometrist with advanced training or experience in corneal disease and specialty contact lenses. You will perform comprehensive medical optometry, cornea-related evaluations, and scleral/RGP lens fittings, collaborating with ophthalmology colleagues in a multispecialty setting.

The ideal candidate has OD, CA license, and residency training in cornea/ocular disease; part-time schedule about 3 days per week with rotating Saturday.

Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited institution.
• Active California optometry license or eligibility.
• Residency training in cornea/ocular disease or related specialty preferred.
• Advanced specialty contact lens experience may substitute residency.
• Experience with scleral and RGP lenses preferred.
• Part-time schedule: ~3 days per week; rotating Saturday once per month.
• $80–$85 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Routine comprehensive eye examinations and medical optometry.
• Corneal, anterior segment, dry eye, and ocular surface disease management.
• Specialty contact lens fitting including scleral and RGP lenses.
• Co-management with ophthalmologists and diagnostic testing.
