Family Eye Physicians in Schaumburg, IL is seeking a dedicated Optometrist for a Saturday-only schedule (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.). You will deliver comprehensive primary eye care, diagnose eye diseases, and manage refractive needs with a supportive team of optical professionals.

Our Practice is looking for a dedicated Optometrist with strong diagnostic skills and a passion for delivering a great patient experience. Our Optometrists are comprehensive primary eye care specialists. They see patients with a wide variety of pathology and refractive needs.
We remove the complexities of practice management with a support team of trained optical professionals including optometric technicians, opticians, contact lens technicians, receptionists, and management staff.

Examines eyes, using observation, instruments and pharmaceuticals, to diagnose diseases and other abnormalities.
Prescribes medications to treat eye diseases, removes foreign bodies from the eye, and analyzes test results and develops appropriate treatment plans.
Prescribes therapeutic procedures to correct or conserve vision
Provides patients undergoing eye surgeries, such as cataract and laser vision correction, with pre- and post-operative care.
Interprets diagnostic tests ordered and explains results to patients.
Experience with maintaining quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage.
Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops.
Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to work with patients of all ages.
Strong organization with attention to detail.
Demonstrated computer literacy.
Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Doctor of Optometry Degree (OD) from an Accredited School of Optometry
State Licensed or will be licensed to practice Optometry (New Graduates) in the State of Illinois
