Job summary

Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences’ School of Optometry in Worcester is seeking a part-time registered optician to provide training and education for students in the optical shop, 10 Optical.

The position is 27 hours per week with on-site requirements on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; candidate may also cover 10 Optical periodically. Requires MA Dispensing Optician license, 3+ years in optical management, and experience with third-party payers and EHRs.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Dispensing Optician License is required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Optical management.
• Experience with third-party payers and vision care plans (VSP, Eyemed, Spectera, MassHealth).
• Experience with electronic health records, inventory management systems, and ordering platforms.
• Excellent customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality training and education for students in the School of Optometry’s optical shop, 10 Optical.
• Work part-time 27 hours per week with on-site requirements on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
• May be asked to cover 10 Optical periodically.
