Job summary

VSP Vision is seeking an Optician 2 for All Family Vision Care in Corvallis, OR. You will help customers find eyeglasses and contact lenses that match their prescriptions while delivering high levels of quality and care.

Responsibilities include assisting with frame selection, taking measurements, processing orders and insurance billing, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• One to two years of experience in a related field.
• State licensure or certification as an optician if required by state.
• Working knowledge of MS Office.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear communication in person and by phone.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting frames and coordinate with optical measurements.
• Determine reason for visit, assess lifestyle needs, and recommend eyewear per prescription.
• Take measurements and assist patients with adjustments and dispensing eyewear.
• Explain lenses, coatings, and frame options to match customer needs and occupations.
• Ensure accurate pricing and realistic delivery times for customers.
• Document all patient communications in the practice software system.
