Job summary

Shopko Optical seeks a Part-time Optical Sales Associate in Freeport, IL to provide exceptional patient service in eyewear selection, ordering and dispensing. You will assist with pre-screenings, frame fitting, and lens choices while supporting the optical lab and billing processes.

On-the-job training and certification opportunities are offered, with a path to certification and casual but professional customer interactions in a community setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Maintain license as required by state.
• Shopko OCE Certification requirements and modules.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer and patient service.
• Assist in selecting frames, lenses and coatings to meet needs.
• Process orders, prepare work orders for Optical Lab, and assist with billing.
• Help with frame repairs, adjustments and contact lens care.
• Support the Optometrist with histories and screenings where needed.
