Job Title: Licensed Optical Sales Associate

Our heritage in eye care spans more than 100 years. In 1885, opticians William Wall and Charles Ochs opened their first eyeglass store and manufacturing facility in Philadelphia, PA. Their reputation for fine eyewear and superior eye care grew, and Wall & Ochs became synonymous with quality and value.

In the early 1970s, Wall & Ochs became U.S.Vision, expanding to over 350 locations in JCPenney, Meijer, Boscov's, and AAFES.

What you'll do:

The successful Licensed Optical Sales Associate provides excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for patients, customers, colleagues, and partners. You will work with the Optical Sales Manager to:

  1. Deliver exceptional customer service and satisfaction
  2. Drive sales and manage expenses
  3. Achieve personal and store goals
  4. Implement effective operational and procedural processes
  5. Engage with patients and customers to meet prescriptive eyewear needs
Requirements:
  • Must be a licensed optician as per state requirements
  • Optical or retail experience preferred
  • Strong sales skills: connecting with customers, uncovering needs, recommending products, and educating based on our CURE selling model
  • Polished communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to operate POS and computer systems
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse populations
  • Self-motivated, action-oriented, creative problem solver, receptive to feedback and learning
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Flexible scheduling, including weekends, holidays, and sales events
  • Physical ability to perform job duties and multitask in a busy environment
