Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Science or related field; master's preferred.
Valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate required.
Valid Michigan Integrated Science endorsement required.
Experience teaching high school science in classroom or online.
Strong knowledge of high school science curriculum and assessment.
Experience with online learning platforms and edtech preferred.
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
Ability to engage students in virtual learning environment.

Responsibilities

Deliver standards-aligned online instruction for three high school science courses via the virtual platform.
Develop engaging lesson plans promoting inquiry and problem solving.
Facilitate synchronous and asynchronous online learning experiences.
Assess student learning and provide timely feedback.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
Collaborate with families, students, and staff to support success.
Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
