Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Science Education, or related field.
• Valid Michigan Secondary Teaching Certificate.
• Valid Michigan Integrated Science endorsement.
• Experience teaching high school science in classroom or virtual setting.
• Proficiency with online learning platforms and educational technology.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to engage students in a virtual learning environment.
• Collaborative with colleagues, students, and families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver online instruction for three high school science courses through the school's virtual platform.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans with emphasis on inquiry and critical thinking.
• Facilitate synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences in a virtual classroom.
• Assess student learning with assignments, quizzes, tests, projects, and labs as applicable.
• Monitor progress, maintain records, and provide timely feedback to students.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs and learning styles.
• Collaborate with families, students, and staff to support student success.
• Participate in meetings, PD, and school activities; comply with policies and expectations.
