Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator Level II for Sequoyah Elementary School in Derwood, MD. This one-on-one itinerant position runs 6 hours per day across 10 months, with a Part-time schedule and a six-month probationary path.

The role supports students with IEPs, assisting with academic, behavioral, social, and physical needs in a range of settings. Strong communication and knowledge of English are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One year of experience with students in structured educational settings preferred.
• Successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment with a qualifying score of 455 or higher is required.

Responsibilities

• Support students with IEP goals in general and special education settings.
• Provide one-on-one itinerant support and assist with instructional activities.
• Assist with classroom management and behavior support.
• May participate in activities off school grounds as needed.
