Job summary

Hudson Regional Health in Bayonne, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse Oncology for a half-time, day shift position. You will provide total, comprehensive patient care using the nursing process and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and quality during chemo and perioperative care.

The role requires NJ RN licensure, BLS, BSN preferred, and 1–2 years PACU/SDS experience if possible; knowledge of chemotherapy protocols and OCN certification are a plus.

Qualifications

• RN NJ Licensure is required.
• BSN preferred.
• Acute care/PACU/SDS experience preferred.
• BLS certification; ACLS and PALS within 6 months of hire.
• Technical skills and computer literacy required.
• Certification in ASPAN or related specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides total, comprehensive care to patients by applying the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Maintains patient safety in an organized, policy-driven environment.
• Performs initial assessments and reassessments per policy.
• Reviews preoperative paperwork and follows up to ensure completion.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary health care team to ensure continuous, well-coordinated care.
• Prioritizes workload and adapts to changing situations.
• Delivers education to meet patient and family needs as part of the care plan.
• Documents patient care and safety checks accurately.
• Engages in quality improvement activities and professional growth.
