Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute Hospital, Inc. seeks an Oncology Technician to assist with daily living activities and basic nursing care for the oncology population. You will help maintain a safe, clean environment under a Registered Nurse's direction and ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.

Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED with preferred nursing study. CNA with BLS certification is required, with transcripts reviewed periodically.

Minimum Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Other (If other, please enter details in section to the right)

Minimum Licensure (Other): CNA not required for students who have completed nursing fundamental course and are actively enrolled in nursing program (LPN, ASN, ADN, BSN).

Must submit transcripts to department manager a minimum of twice per calendar year.

Must provide authorization to test (ATT-NCLEX RN or ATT-NCLEX-PN, schedule and pass the test within 90 days of graduation from nursing program, as appropriate.

• Successful completion of Moffitt’s Oncology Technician orientation and checklist within the first ninety days of employment.
• Basic familiarity with nursing procedures and knowledge of medical terminology.
• Fundamental computer skills.
• Demonstrated communication, organization and critical thinking skills.

Salary Range $17.97 - $27.16
