Grace Place for Children & Families in Naples, FL is seeking an on-call Substitute Teacher in Early Childhood Education to support classrooms when staff are absent, ensuring safety, care and development for children from toddlers to 4-year-olds. You will follow lesson plans, supervise activities, support meals and daily routines, maintain a safe, clean environment, and collaborate with staff and families.

A high school diploma is required; a degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred; DCF

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Degree/certification in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
Willing to complete DCF coursework upon hire.

Responsibilities

Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by the classroom teacher, maintaining consistency in the educational program.
Supervise and engage with children in a nurturing and supportive manner, promoting their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Implement daily routines, including meals, and outdoor play following the established schedule of the classroom.
Assist in maintaining a safe and clean learning environment adhering to DCF health and safety regulations and protocols.
Foster positive and inclusive interactions with children, encouraging their curiosity, creativity, and independent thinking.
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure effective communication and smooth transitions for the children.
Ability to engage and work effectively with children, parents, and support staff.
