Job summary

NORA, the Nationwide Organ Recovery Transport Alliance, is actively recruiting part-time, on-call Organ Transport Drivers in Ohio. Drivers collect organ storage containers and transport medical teams, organs, tissues, donors, and supplies using NORA vehicles for emergency and non-emergency organ procurement transportation.

This on-call role offers 24-hour shifts (typically 2–3 per week), on-call pay, weekend and holiday hours, and a respectful workplace with ongoing training and equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 yrs driving experience and EVOC certification preferred
• Must be at least 25 years of age or older
• Must report to location within 30–35 minutes of transport assignment to pick up assigned vehicle
• Acceptable DMV driving record, reviewed annually
• Ability to work 24-hour on-call shifts
• Professional, service-oriented approach
• Successful background and drug screening; convictions may be considered if related

Responsibilities

• Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying organ storage containers
• Operate NORA vehicles (SUVs and tissue donor transport vans) in emergency and non-emergency situations
• Load/unload transport vehicles with organ storage containers and supplies
• Transport medical teams, organs, tissues, tissue donors, safely and efficiently
• Push/pull cots and transfer tissue donors
• Maintain high standards of customer service, quality, safety in all transports
