NORA, the Nationwide Organ Recovery Transport Alliance, seeks part-time, on-call Organ Transport Drivers to collect organ storage containers and transport medical teams and organs using NORA vehicles. This role supports emergency and non-emergency organ procurement transportation.

Drivers work 24-hour on-call shifts, typically 2–3 per week, with on-call pay and weekend/holiday hours. A service-oriented approach and EVOC certification are preferred; background checks apply.

Qualificações

• EVOC certification preferred.
• Must be at least 25 years of age.
• Able to report within 30–35 minutes of assignment for vehicle pickup.
• Acceptable state driving record verified annually.

Responsabilidades

• Lift, push, pull, and carry organ storage containers.
• Load organ transport equipment into a vehicle.
• Load/unload transport vehicles with containers and supplies.
• Transport medical teams, organs, tissues, donors, and supplies safely.
• Operate NORA vehicles (SUVs).
• Assemble, inventory and photograph supplies.
• Complete verification with Dispatch before deployment.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and customer service.

Position Summary

NORA is actively recruiting part-time, on-call Organ Transport Drivers to join our mission-driven team. Drivers are responsible for collecting organ storage containers and transporting medical teams, organs, tissues, tissue donors, and supplies using NORA vehicles for both emergency and non-emergency organ procurement transportation.

Responsibilities

The primary duties of the Transportation Specialists may perform the following duties:

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry organ storage containers
• Load devices such as the OrganOx liver machine into a vehicle utilizing a manual ramp or a mechanical lift
• Loading and unloading transport vehicles with organ storage containers and supplies
• Transporting medical teams, organs, tissues, tissue donors, and supplies safely and efficiently
• Operating NORA vehicles (SUVs)
• Assemble, inventory and photograph supplies
• Complete verification process with Dispatch prior to deployment of equipment
• Maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer service throughout all transports

Qualifications & Skills

• Emergency Vehicle Operator (EVOC) certified professional preferred
• Must be at least 25 years of age or older
• Must be able to report to location within 30–35 minutes of transport assignment location to be able to pick up assigned vehicle
• Acceptable state driving record verified through DMV, reviewed annually
• Ability to work 24-hour on-call shifts
• Professional, service-oriented approach
• Successful background and drug screening; criminal charges and convictions may be considered if substantially related to the position

Schedule & Compensation

• Part-time, on-call shifts 24-hour with variable schedules
• Typically, 2–3 shifts per week, including weekends and holidays (Not to exceed 30 hours per week)
• Driving pay: $28.00/hour during active transport
• On-call rate: $50.00/day for days scheduled on-call
