Job summary

Atrium Health University City Acute Care Rehabilitation Team provides comprehensive rehabilitation services for patients recovering from a wide range of medical, surgical, orthopedic, neurological, and cardiac conditions.

Occupational therapists collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care, helping individuals regain independence, improve functional performance, and safely transition to the next level of care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in OT required.
• State OT license required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises OT staff, assistants, students, and volunteers involved in patient care.
• Evaluates patients and plans care to restore function and independence.
• Collects data from medical records, physician reports, patient and family and uses it to guide therapy.
• Documents evaluations, treatment notes, progress and discharge plans.
