Job summary

HSHS Medical Group seeks an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, IL.

The role focuses on developing and executing treatment plans, while coordinating therapy services and promoting patient education. The candidate must hold an OT degree and be licensed or eligible for IL/WI licensure with potential licensure within 6 months, and maintain Basic Life Support certification or complete within 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited OT program that meets state licensure requirements.
• IL: Licensure as an Occupational Therapist required or authorization to practice, obtain licensure within 6 months.
• BLS certification required or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and executes treatment plans.
• Provides delegation and direction of discipline-specific therapy services.
• Acts as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and for professional development.
• Performs other professional duties related to patient care, therapy program development, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
