Job summary

Cortica is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapist to join its growing multi-disciplinary team in California. You will provide therapy to children with neurodevelopmental differences, collaborating with other clinicians to design individualized plans and monitor progress.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a related field is required.
  • Current California Occupational Therapy License is required.
  • Strong clinical and communication skills are essential.
  • Experience in a pediatric, multi-disciplinary setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Establish occupational therapy treatment goals using dynamic and standardized assessments.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to create integrated treatment plans.
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions and co-treats as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
  • Provide play-based and goal-based interventions to support daily living skills.
  • Educate families and caregivers on home programs that complement treatment.
  • Assist with program development and ongoing quality improvement.

What will you do?
  • Establishoccupational therapy treatmentgoalsthrough dynamic and standardized assessment tools
  • Consult closely with multi-disciplinaryteam members to create collaborative treatment plans andintegrative strategies
  • Provide individual therapy sessions as well as group and/or co-treats with other disciplines as therapeutically appropriate
  • Maintain patient records, documentation, and appropriate billing in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy to ensure excellent standard of care
  • Provideplay based and goal-basedinterventions topromote sensory processing, regulation, and skilldevelopmentin daily occupations
  • Facilitatefunctionaland stimulating experiences to target and achieve individualized goals
  • Devise strategies and supports to help the individual more fully engage in activities of daily living
  • Collaborate with the individual and family to understand their values, interests, and goals
  • Implement programming that considers all aspects of the child, inclusive of, but not limited tosensorimotor,cognitive,communicative, recreational, and social activities
  • Contribute to program development
  • Educate patients, families, team members, and caregivers on home programs that complement treatment
  • In this role you are occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Team members must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

The base pay range for this opening is $45.05 to $56.31 an hour. According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
