Job summary

The MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) occupational health team in Ridgeville and the Tri-county area is hiring a Part-Time Advanced Practice Provider (APP). The role is office-based, outpatient, and involves direct patient care under a collaborative practice model.

Requirements include PA or APRN licensure or eligibility with BLS and DOT certification as applicable. Past occupational health or primary care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program and currently licensed or eligible for licensure as an APRN.
• BLS certification and knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients in an outpatient setting.
• Performs history and physical examinations and orders/ interprets tests.
• Initiates referrals and collaborates with physicians.
• Documents encounters and maintains accurate care plans.
• Participates in quality improvement and regulatory activities.
