TeamHealth seeks a part-time OB/Gyn physician to join the JFK Medical Center team in Edison, New Jersey. The role includes 24-hour in-house OB/Gyn hospitalist shifts and daytime outpatient clinic coverage, with care transitioning from clinic prenatal patients to inpatient hospitalist care.

The ideal candidate is board-certified in OB/Gyn, enjoys teaching, and is comfortable working with CNMs and family medicine residents in a hospital setting.

• Board-certified OB/Gyn with current, active skills across the full spectrum of OB/Gyn care.
• Interest in teaching and mentoring medical students and family medicine residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour in-house OB/Gyn hospitalist coverage and daytime outpatient clinic services.
• Transition prenatal care from the clinic to inpatient OB/Gyn hospitalist care at JFK Medical Center.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, certified nurse midwives, and family medicine residents.
• Manage gynecologic surgical cases originating from the clinic.
• Provide ED coverage and inpatient GYN consultations.

Job DescriptionTeamHealth is seeking a part-time dedicated OB/Gyn physician to join our OB/Gyn hospitalist and outpatient clinic team at Hackensack Meridian Health JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. This role includes 24-hour, in-house OB/Gyn hospitalist shifts, along with occasional daytime full scope OB/GYN services in JFK’s family medicine residency clinic. Prenatal patients seen in the clinic will be transitioned to the OB/Gyn hospitalist team at JFK Medical Center for all inpatient care.This position requires strong collaboration with nursing staff and comfort supporting certified nurse midwives and family medicine residents in the outpatient setting. Gynecologic surgical cases originating from the clinic may be managed by the OB/Gyn hospitalist team. Clinical responsibilities also include emergency department coverage and inpatient GYN consultations.The ideal candidate is a board-certified OB/Gyn physician with current, active skills across the full spectrum of OB/Gyn care.
