TeamHealth seeks a board-certified OB/Gyn to join our hospitalist and outpatient clinic team at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ. This role includes 24-hour in-house shifts and daytime OB/Gyn coverage in the residency clinic, with prenatal patients transitioning to inpatient care.

The ideal candidate collaborates with nursing staff, supports CNMs and residents, handles ED coverage and inpatient GYN consultations, and enjoys teaching medical students and residents.

Qualifications

• Board-certified OB/Gyn with scope across OB/Gyn care.
• Experience teaching and mentoring medical students and residents is preferred.
• Strong collaboration with nursing staff and CNMs in both hospital and clinic settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour in-house OB/Gyn hospitalist coverage.
• Occasional daytime OB/Gyn services in JFK's family medicine residency clinic.
• Manage prenatal patients transitioning to inpatient care at JFK Medical Center.

Job description

TeamHealth is seeking a dedicated OB/Gyn physician to join our OB/Gyn hospitalist and outpatient clinic team at Hackensack Meridian Health JFK Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. This role includes 24-hour, in-house OB/Gyn hospitalist shifts, along with occasional daytime full scope OB/GYN services in JFK's family medicine residency clinic. Prenatal patients seen in the clinic will be transitioned to the OB/Gyn hospitalist team at JFK Medical Center for all inpatient care.

This position requires strong collaboration with nursing staff and comfort supporting certified nurse midwives and family medicine residents in the outpatient setting. Gynecologic surgical cases originating from the clinic may be managed by the OB/Gyn hospitalist team. Clinical responsibilities also include emergency department coverage and inpatient GYN consultations.

The ideal candidate is a board-certified OB/Gyn physician with current, active skills across the full spectrum of OB/Gyn care. Candidates should be enthusiastic about teaching and mentoring medical students and family medicine residents.

Competitive compensation is an estimated base salary range of $276,480 to $368,640 annually.
