Job summary

Responsibilities

• Surface sanitization of high-touch areas with hospital-grade disinfectants.
• Turnaround cleaning of exam and treatment rooms between patients and at day end.
• Floor care including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming in all areas.
• Restroom cleaning, sanitization, and restocking supplies.
• Safe handling and disposal of medical waste per OSHA regulations.
• Clean interior windows and glass surfaces for a professional look.
• Dusting of furniture, fixtures, and vents to reduce allergens.
• Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and PPE; report needs to management.
• Follow infection control guidelines and wear PPE as required.

We are looking for a dedicated Facility Cleaner to join our team and help us maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety throughout our building.

About the Role

As a Facility Cleaner, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our clinic remains a clean, safe, and inviting space for patients and staff. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will directly contribute to the comfort and well-being of everyone who walks through our doors. This position requires at least 1 year of cleaning experience, and the ability to perform physical tasks with care and precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Surface Sanitization: Regularly clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, handrails, waiting room chairs, and countertops using hospital-grade disinfectants.
• Exam and Treatment Room Turnaround: Thoroughly clean, sanitize, and restock examination and procedure rooms between patients and at the end of each day.
• Floor Care: Sweep, mop, and polish hard flooring, and vacuum carpets in hallways, waiting areas, offices, and clinical rooms.
• Restroom Maintenance: Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and dispensers for soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Biohazard and Waste Management: Safely handle, collect, and dispose of medical waste, sharps containers, and general trash in compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Window and Glass Care: Clean interior glass windows, doors, and partitions to maintain a professional and polished appearance.
• Dusting and Vent Maintenance: Dust furniture, window sills, fixtures, and air vents to minimize allergens and dust accumulation.
• Supply Inventory Monitoring: Keep track of cleaning supplies and PPE stock levels, notifying management when restocking is needed.
• Compliance and Safety Adherence: Follow all infection control guidelines and safety protocols, wearing appropriate PPE at all times.

What We’re Looking For

To excel in this role, you should have:

• Experience: At least 1 year of cleaning experience is strongly preferred in a medical or clinical setting.
• Physical Abilities: Ability to perform tasks requiring near vision, trunk strength, arm-hand steadiness, extent flexibility, static strength, and problem sensitivity. Reasonable accommodations can be made if needed.
