Job summary

Johnson County Community College is seeking a part-time adjunct faculty member for the Biology Department to teach The Science of Human Nutrition. One section will be conducted face-to-face during the day and another as an evening class.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Biology, with emphasis on nutrition or nutrition-related field.
• Computer literacy including ability to communicate and develop teaching materials and enter grades electronically.
• Demonstrate familiarity with the use of appropriate computer software.
• Demonstrate fluency in written and oral communications.
• Successfully completed undergraduate or graduate level coursework in human anatomy and physiology.
• One year of College-level teaching experience.
• Preferred: Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in The Science of Human Nutrition.
• Teach one section face-to-face during the day and one section in the evening.
• Submit grades and manage course materials electronically.
• Adhere to college policies and scheduling requirements.
