Qualifications

• Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or a concentration in the discipline (with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours) at the time of appointment.
• All degrees must be from an accredited institution; terminal degree is preferred.
• Ability to teach introductory nutrition concepts, metabolism, food systems and sustainability, community nutrition, clinical nutrition and nutrition counseling, and food service management and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Teach one or two undergraduate Nutrition Science courses per semester; deliver course content and assessments.
• Create assignments, evaluate and grade student work, and hold office hours to assist students.
• Appointments are on a course-by-course basis; loads do not exceed 8 credit hours; one course per semester is the norm.
• Participate in review of offered courses and be available for ongoing pool assignments as needed.
