Job summary

Pima Medical Institute is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as a Nursing Instructor at our Tucson campus. This part-time, 30-hour-per-week role is benefits eligible and involves didactic, laboratory, and clinical teaching aligned with program curriculum and Arizona Board rules.

Responsibilities include delivering instruction, supervising clinicals, mentoring faculty, and supporting program development and accreditation efforts.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Arizona RN license in good standing (or Compact multi-state privilege).
• Minimum of three years of direct patient care as an RN.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program recognized by USDE/CHEA.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; proficiency in MS Office, smartboards, and online testing.
• One year of full-time teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruction & Clinical Leadership: lead didactic and clinical learning.
• Didactic & Clinical Delivery: deliver class and clinical experiences.
• Lesson Execution: prepare and deliver lesson plans.
• Clinical Supervision: align objectives with sites and maintain relationships.
• Lab Maintenance: assist with nursing skills lab upkeep and equipment.
• Program Development: help develop and evaluate the nursing program.
• Standards & Accreditation: participate in accreditation activities.
• Faculty Mentorship: orient and mentor new faculty.
• Student Advising & Administration: provide academic counseling and advisement.
• Record Keeping: maintain attendance and evaluation logs.
