Job summary

Rasmussen University is seeking a dynamic Part-Time Adjunct Nursing Care of the Older Adult instructor for our Mankato campus. You will teach in the Nursing program, balancing campus and off-site clinical settings, while continuing to practice in the field.

No prior teaching experience is required as training is provided; opportunity to contribute to student success and the profession.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Documented experience in Nursing Care of the Older Adult.
• 1-year clinical experience as an RN required, 2+ years preferred.
• Proof of active RN licensure that has never been encumbered.
• Official transcripts required for each degree earned from an accredited institution.
• Active CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross) and faculty immunization documentation required.

Responsibilities

• Teaching lecture, laboratory, and clinical practicum courses in the Nursing program as assigned; courses may be on campus or at off-site clinical partner locations.
• Use of effective teaching strategies and multiple teaching techniques; create an environment conducive to learning for a diverse student population.
