Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing required.
• 2+ years experience as a licensed registered nurse in the last five years.
• Current Professional Nurse licensure in Illinois required.

Responsibilities

• Implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service.
• Assumes responsibility for autonomous aspects of teaching loads.
• Plans clinical experiences and provides supervision and evaluation of nursing students.
• Evaluates and provides feedback to students on performance relative to course objectives.
• Maintains knowledge of agency/clinical policies and expectations with supervising staff.
• Develops and posts written clinical assignments aligned with learner needs.
• Returns homework and assessments promptly for timely feedback.
• Contributes to program development and College enhancement.
• May teach didactic content under supervision of a course coordinator.
• Keeps the course coordinator informed of student and agency issues.
• Collaborates with administration and faculty to improve operations and student satisfaction.
• Participates in implementing the College Assessment Program and retention efforts.
• Serves as a professional role model for staff and students in professionalism and customer service.
