Job summary

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College seeks qualified Nursing Clinical Adjunct Instructors for the Bryant Center at Tradition. The role supports clinical instruction, supervision, and evaluation of nursing students in laboratory and clinical settings, on an as-needed basis.

Mandatory MSN and RN licensure in Mississippi (or eligibility) are required, along with a background check and fingerprint clearance.

Qualifications

• MSN degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• Unrestricted RN license in Mississippi or eligibility to obtain before employment.
• Background check and fingerprint clearance required.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience.
• Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Familiarity with basic internet, e-mail, and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Establish and uphold a climate conducive to learning.
• Be a professional and academic role model while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Supervise clinical experiences and evaluate student performance.
• Counsel nursing students regarding academic and clinical performance.
• Maintain appropriate clinical records and comply with nursing/college policies.
• Serve as a student advisor and integrate technology to enhance instruction.
