• Communicate patient experience and staff engagement metrics clearly.
• Collaborate with the physician dyad and escalate concerns as appropriate.
• Follow up on patient concerns and provide service recovery when needed.
• Design and lead a safe, therapeutic, patient-centered care environment.
• Support implementation of the department's mission, vision, goals and objectives.

About This Role

The Nursing Administrator is a registered professional nurse with progressive administrative experience, leading hospital operations during assigned shifts. This role is ideal for individuals who support clinical management and ensure the effective delivery of patient care.

What You'll Do

• Lead nursing practice using the tenets of the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR) and role model expected behaviors.
• Ensure the integration of PHR into clinical activities to enhance Relationship Centered Care.
• Validate staff members round hourly on all patients by direct observation and patient feedback.
• Assess staff competency in PHR and provide meaningful feedback.
• Communicate quantitative and qualitative information regarding patient experience and staff engagement.
• Collaborate with the physician dyad and escalated concerns as appropriate.
• Follow up on all patient concerns in a timely manner and provide service recovery as needed.
• Design and lead a safe, therapeutic, and efficient patient-centered care environment.
• Support implementation of the mission, vision, goals, and objectives of the department.

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing required; Masters in nursing or health care related field preferred.

Experience:

• 3-5 years minimum clinical nursing experience with some Charge Nurse/supervisory experience preferred.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Licensed as a registered nurse with current registration in New York State.
• BLS certification required.
• Specialty Board Certification in a clinical specialty or leadership preferred.
