Job summary
Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) is seeking a part-time adjunct faculty member for the Undergraduate Nursing Program within the School of Nursing. You will deliver didactic instruction and provide clinical supervision in designated areas, contributing to student assessment and learning outcomes.
The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Nursing with Texas RN licensure and at least two years of clinical experience.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing required; TX RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience.
- Unencumbered Texas RN licensure.
- Preferred: Doctoral degree in Nursing.
- Ability to teach in clinical and simulation settings.
- Strong communication and mentorship skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist with didactic instruction in undergraduate nursing courses as assigned.
- Provide clinical instruction, supervision, and evaluation in clinical areas or simulation labs.
- Evaluate student performance and clinical competency.
- Provide timely feedback to faculty on student progress.
- Serve as SME for course content and learning activities.
- Foster student learning through effective teaching strategies and role modeling.
- Maintain compliance with TTUHSC and accreditation standards.
- Record-keeping related to instruction and evaluation.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, students and clinical partners.
- Participate in faculty development activities.
- Perform other duties to support the School of Nursing.
