Job summary

BayMark Health Services is seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for Sun Valley, CA. Schedule: 9 hours per week, 7:00 am to Noon, within a outpatient methadone/buprenorphine program.

This role requires a California license in good standing and at least 1 year of MAT/addiction medicine experience. A successful candidate will have EMR proficiency, perform H&P exams, and support dosing under the Medical Director. Total compensation includes benefits beyond salary.

Qualifications

• Must hold a license in good standing in California (NP or PA).
• Minimum 1 year MAT/addiction medicine experience is required.
• Satisfactory drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in admitting patients for Methadone and Buprenorphine Treatment.
• Obtain patient history and perform physical examinations.
• Document in EMR and write orders for methadone dosing/written buprenorphine prescriptions.
• Authorize and supervise dispensing of daily narcotic replacement therapy in the absence of Medical Director.
• Monitor patient dosages in collaboration with physicians, directors and nurses.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Primary Job Function:

• Assist in admitting patients for Methadone and Buprenorphine Treatment.
• To obtain a history and physical exam.
• Documentation into the EMR, entering orders for methadone dosing in the EMR or writing a buprenorphine prescription
• To authorize and supervise dispensing of daily narcotic replacement therapy and other medication by medical staff in the Medical Director's absence.
• Consistently monitoring patient dosages in conjunction with the Program Physician/Medical Director, Treatment Center Director, Counselors and Dosing Nurses.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor

Qualifications | Education | Certifications:

• Must have license in good standing in the State of California
• 1-year of experience of MAT/addiction medicine required
• Satisfactory drug screen and background check

Salary Range:

Salary ranges from $74.83 to $76.83 an hour

The salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty and training.
