Job summary

AdventHealth in Chatsworth, GA is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform imaging procedures, ensure quality control, and collaborate with radiologists for accurate patient care.

The role requires knowledge of nuclear medicine equipment, radionuclide handling, and safe practices. Licensure and CNMT/RT(N) certification are expected, with growth opportunities within a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of human physiology.
• Knowledge of scintigraphic equipment, acquisition computers, and processing stations.
• Knowledge of Hot Lab equipment.
• Ability to learn and master new tasks related to image quality and radiation safety.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse backgrounds.
• Must read, write and speak conversational English.
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office.
• Licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist (RT(N)) with CNMT.

Responsibilities

• Ensures equipment meets quality control requirements and performs patient examinations with age-appropriate care.
• Collaborates with radiologists to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of patient care.
• Performs Nuclear Medicine procedures with camera acquisition and processing skills.
• Maintains room readiness; documents work orders for malfunctioning equipment.
• Plans and enters QC data and exam charges into information systems in a timely manner.
• Identifies patients and verifies exam accuracy before releasing images.
• Reviews physician requests for clinically valid exam indicators.
• Prepares radionuclide, explains procedures to patients, and adheres to ALARA principles.
• Assists in a wide range of duties to ensure smooth department operation.
