Qualifications

• Licensed RN in California is required.
• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience or KP L&D course completed in last 12 months.
• BLS certification required; Advanced Fetal Monitoring cert required at hire or within 12 months; NRP cert required; ACLS cert required.

Responsibilities

• Uphold Kaiser Permanente's Policies and Procedures.
• Serve as a leader of the healthcare team and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and revise care plans as needed.
• Ensure patient safety and optimal pain control.
• Document nursing processes and interventions accurately.
• Discuss patient findings with physicians and healthcare team members.
• Practice customer service standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Mentor and coach others in unit-specific operations.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.
