Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Specialty Unit Staff RN for Labor & Delivery in San Diego, CA. The role leads a healthcare team, uses the nursing process, and ensures quality patient care in a busy L&D unit.

Night shift, full-time schedule, with a focus on patient safety, documentation, and collaboration with physicians and staff. California RN license and current BLS/NRP/ACLS/Advanced Fetal Monitoring are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in California and eligible to work in healthcare.
• 1 year of recent full-time L&D experience or KP L&D course in prior 12 months.
• Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications.

Responsabilités

• Provide professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
• Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures.
• Serve as a leader of the healthcare team and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Develop and contribute to individualized plans of care.
• Monitor patient progress and revise care plans as needed.
• Ensure effective documentation of nursing processes and interventions.
• Discuss patient findings and progress with the healthcare team.
• Practice customer service standards and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Mentor, orient, and coach others in unit-specific operations.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement activities.
