Job summary

AdventHealth in Castle Rock, CO is seeking a part-time Nights Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff and patient care. This role offers a sign-on bonus and the chance to contribute to high-quality, compassionate care in a faith-based health system.

The position requires a High School diploma and BLS/CNA and PCT certifications, with prior PCT experience preferred. The facility emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous learning for staff development.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv required.
• 1+ PCT experience preferred.
• BLS, CNA, CPCT/A, NCPCT or PCT-C certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Follows isolation guidelines, uses protective equipment, handwashing per policy, and safety regulations.
• Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrades skills continually.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in delivery of patient care as a team member under RN direction.
• Documents and reports all procedures per department policy.
• Participates in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to the RN.
• Assists in identifying patient needs
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Follows prescribed isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of protective equipment, performs handwashing according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
• Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrades skills continuously.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy.
• Participates in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to the registered nurse.

Education

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience

• 1+ applicable PCT experience [Preferred]
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience [Preferred]

Licenses & Certifications

• Basic Life Support BLS Cert [Required]
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) [Required]
• OR NHA Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) [Required]
• OR NCCT Patient Care Technician (NCPCT) [Required]

Pay Range
