AdventHealth Adventist Health System in Castle Rock, CO is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support bedside patient care on a full-time night shift. The role includes assisting licensed nurses, documenting care activities, and upholding safety and infection control standards.

Candidate must have a High School diploma or equivalent, BLS, CNA/CPCT/NCPCT/PCT-C certifications, and prior acute care experience.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv required.
• 1+ applicable PCT experience preferred.
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• CNA/CPCT/A/NCPCT/PCT-C certifications required.

Responsabilités

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and supports quality standards.
• Follows isolation guidelines and safety regulations.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in the delivery of patient care under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents procedures in accordance with department policy.

Job Description

NEW HIRE ELIGIBLE SIGN-ON BONUS UP TO $10,000. THREE FULL-TIME NIGHTS

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Follows prescribed isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of protective equipment, performs handwashing according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
• Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrades skills continuously.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy.
• Participates in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to the registered nurse.
• Assists in identifying patient needs
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience

• 1+ applicable PCT experience [Preferred]
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support BLS Cert [Required]
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) [Required]
• OR NHA Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) [Required]
• OR NCCT Patient Care Technician (NCPCT) [Required]
• OR AMCA Patient Care Technician Certification (PCT-C) [Required]

Pay Range

$19.38 - $31.01
