Job summary

Ideal candidates hold a Texas nursing license, BSN preferred (Diploma acceptable), and BLS certification, with 1 year RN experience; registry/agency roles

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Required for Internal Float Pool, Registry Nursing Services, & Agency RNs
• Diploma in Nursing; Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
• Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas; Basic Life Support from an AHA or Red Cross approved program
• Other certificates as required by unit/service.

Responsibilities

• Independently and safely manages patients in assigned clinical area
• Recognizes when assistance is needed and seeks appropriate resources
• Internal Float Pool NCIIs and Registry/Agency RNs float within a Service, across multiple Services, within a Pavilion and/or across multiple pavilions
• Works across units within the department as required by the float pool and service needs
