Job summary

Price Rite in West Springfield, MA is seeking a Night Crew Clerk (Part Time) to unload and process deliveries in the Grocery Department and maintain a clean, organized store. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and efficient product handling during late-evening hours, typically 9pm–7am.

You will learn cross-training across departments, support the store team, and contribute to a great shopping experience for customers, with opportunities for growth and employee perks.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products, spices and powdered substances without negative allergic consequences.
• Ability to tolerate dust and chemical agents during routine housekeeping duties.
• Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies. Generally between 9pm and 7am.
• Understand and follow directions given
• Ability to work in cold climates.

Responsibilities

• Follow approved procedures for receiving, pricing, stocking and restocking products to ensure quality and rotation.
• Unload and secure received product using appropriate equipment.
• Block and face products and ensure shelf signage is attractive to stimulate sales.
• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Operate required equipment and follow QA and safety standards.
• Perform duties in accordance with local, state and federal regulations and company rules.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.; assist with unloading trucks.
• Stand for scheduled shifts and greet customers with prompt, courteous service.
