Job Summary

Our Night Auditors play an essential role in providing a welcoming and reliable overnight experience for our guests while ensuring the hotel's daily financial activity is accurately balanced and closed. This guest-facing position is responsible for overnight Front Desk operations, completing the nightly audit, assisting guests, processing transactions, preparing reports, and helping ensure a smooth transition into the next business day.

The ideal candidate is dependable, hospitality-driven, detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working independently. This position requires strong attention to detail, confidence working with numbers and hotel systems, and the ability to provide excellent guest service while working overnight with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform the nightly audit of hotel transactions and ensure daily financial activity is accurately balanced.
• Check guests in and out, assign rooms, process payments, and maintain accurate guest accounts.
• Assist guests with questions, requests, concerns, hotel information, and information about the local area.
• Prepare and distribute required daily reports to hotel leadership.
• Monitor hotel activity and security during overnight hours and respond appropriately to emergencies or disturbances.
• Process cash, credit card, and other financial transactions accurately and ensure proper posting to guest accounts.
• Maintain clear communication with the incoming shift and hotel leadership regarding guest concerns, operational issues, and other important information.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance of the Front Desk and surrounding work areas.
• Provide overnight guest services, including wake-up calls and other assistance as needed.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of hotel equipment and systems and elevate issues to the appropriate department when necessary.
• Work collaboratively with other hotel departments to address overnight guest and operational needs.
• Participate in department meetings, training, and ongoing initiatives related to guest service, Front Office operations, financial procedures, and hotel standards.

Salary Description

Starting Pay: $21.00 per hour, DOE

Requirements/Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous Customer Service Or Hospitality Experience Preferred.
• Previous accounting or bookkeeping experience is a plus.
• Comfortable using computers and hotel management software.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financial information and numbers.
• Ability to multitask, remain organized, and work effectively under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions with minimal supervision.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential to this position.
• Must be available to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily in a hotel environment at the Front Desk and surrounding guest areas.

Regular use of computers, phones, hotel management systems, and standard office equipment is required.

The position involves regular interaction with hotel guests and responsibility for overnight Front Office operations.

Team members are expected to follow all applicable hotel, safety, sanitation, security, and brand standards.
