Job summary

Allied Universal, Dayville, CT, is seeking a Security Officer Access Control at a retail location. You will monitor access points, verify badges, respond to alarms, and maintain logs while delivering customer service and a secure environment.

The role is Part Time with a pay rate of $18.31 per hour. Schedule includes DayTime and Night shifts on Wed/Thu, providing flexibility and opportunities to grow within a leading security services company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience required.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, loading areas, sales floors, stockrooms, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to report irregular conditions.
• Document incidents, observations, and access-control activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
