Job summary

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a part-time Video Editor for KTRK Television in Houston. You will edit video and data into clear information for newscasts under tight deadlines, ensuring accurate and engaging content for viewers.

The ideal candidate has experience with non-linear editing, Premiere Pro, and newsroom workflows, and is willing to work varied shifts including overnights and weekends. You will join a collaborative newsroom team dedicated to quality journalism.

Qualifications

3 years of experience editing on non-linear systems.
Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Dalet Galaxy, and live signal intake.
Team player with exceptional work ethic and technical troubleshooting skills.
Understanding and knowledge of the digital newsroom and digital media workflow for broadcast/streaming.
Ability to edit under tight deadlines with creativity and speed.
Demonstrate good news judgment.
Must be able to work any shift including overnights, weekends and holidays.
